— We Welcome & Evaluate
We accept hotline intake, along with government referrals through the courts, social services, and law enforcement. We evaluate each individual or family to determine if our facility is appropriate for short or long-term rehabilitation.
We provide a place of respite for women and children exposed to abuse and sex trafficking and aged-out foster youth. The individuals served in our Group Homes might often be exposed to at-risk conditions such as single parenthood, homelessness, gang involvement, and former incarceration.
We provide healthcare and wellness resources through different methods of therapy. We aim to assist in the processing of emotional traumas, as well as physical therapy, fitness, and dietary support to ensure an overall healthy lifestyle. The individuals served by our Rehabilitation Programs often lack access to healthy lifestyle coaching and services, placing them and their children at-risk for long-term health problems.
We provide our survivors with an opportunity to achieve the success and happiness they deserve for both the individual and their families. At DNF, they will gain resources needed to continue their educational and career trajectories, which might include job interview training and attire stipends, high school, college, and GED application support for scholarships and enrollment, and job placement. The individuals served by our Societal Preparation & Placement programs are often in unstable situations. Without stability, it’s often difficult for women and their children to close socioeconomic gaps that reoccur for generations. We believe the answer is through opportunity and training.
We provide mentorship opportunities in conjunction with our Societal Preparation and Placement programs. We encourage participants to make use of their mentors once they graduate from our program so we can track long-term progress.
Once participants have gone through all of our facets of programming, we have set up an off-boarding Traverse Program to conclude and ensure the independence of our beneficiaries and their families. We will provide assistance with permanent residency placement, food vouchers, transportation assistance, and welfare setup for all participants in any of our programs. We want our participants to have a fresh look at life with a clean slate while having everything they need to prosper with the support of available resources.
WHAT WE CARE FOR!
Through our six step
rehabilitation program, we offer
tools to Survivors giving them a
better chance at a safe, healthy
and prosperous life.
Through our “Story Time with Dream North & Friends” project, foster and at-risk youth not only gain experiences that offer a sense of family, camaraderie, and community, but they are encouraged to dream, believe, and achieve through our various literary
and internship programs.
Inspired by our official brand novel “Forgotten Baby”, we are able to produce artistic media that allow our readers and participants to gain more awareness about the foster care industry and at-risk conditions that many children endure, and also allows our foster youth to engage as Co-Authors in the production of literary art. Stop by our “Story Time Place” when you visit us in Los Angeles!
As we partner with government affiliates such as the courts, social services and law enforcement, along with other nonprofits, small businesses and community members, we solidify bonds and working relationships allowing us to service more Survivors as a collaborative.
Through “Story Time with Dream North & Friends”, we are able to produce multiple literary events each year in a different country or demographic, further solidifying domestic and international charitable collaborations.
Dream North Foundation was founded with a goal to uplift minority women. We have been able to establish a well-rounded team of women who are able to share their stories to uplift others. Through our core, we seek to employ, collaborate, and inspire as many women as we can reach across the globe.
