EVA SHORTT

Director of Operations

Saskatoon, SK, Canada

In 2015, Eva started an event based company for mothers, Modern Mommy Events, inspired by the fact that there were no self-care programs for parents in her community at the time. She utilised the media frequently to spread the word about her unique programs, and as word spread, her events began selling out. Friends and colleagues started coming to her asking for advice in media coverage, so she started to teach business owners how to gain media success. Eva recognised that her passion lay in helping entrepreneurs and businesses reach their target audience. She now works with companies to tell their story, and get it in front of their target audience!

Phyllis Gabrielle Trimble

Secretary

Gabrielle Trimble developed her passion for working with youth and young adults while studying Sociology at Loyola Marymount University. During this time, Gabrielle worked as an assistant volleyball coach for Inglewood High School, often communicating the importance of further education, and aiding the team in completing their college application process. Gabrielle then pioneered a 3 month summer program in Montego Bay Jamaica, called One Love. This program sought out the “at-risk” youth in the area, that were failing school, impoverished, and/or presenting with behavioral problems. The program not only prepared the children for the upcoming school year, but also taught them life and hygiene skills, additional languages such as Japanese and French, and exposed them to activities or experiences and field trips that were not previously possible due to finances. Gabrielle then went on to work with children presenting with mental health diagnosis at Kedren Community Acute Mental Health Clinic for several years, catapulting her current career as an Emergency Response Children’s Social Worker for Los Angeles County, working with families in crisis and foster youth. As a lover of the arts, Gabrielle often participates in various fine arts activities, performances, and workshops that pair as outreaches for the youth in her community.
