What We Do

01.

— We Welcome & Evaluate

Through our emergency hotline and government referrals, we accept a diverse group of survivors who receive a thorough evaluation to assess their overall needs.

02.

— We Provide Temporary Shelter

Our safe haven for women and children exposed to abuse and sex trafficking, along with aged-out foster youth, serves as a secure place of resting and growing as our survivors transition into a more stable chapter.

03.

— We Provide Care

By offering health and wellness resources through different methods of therapy, we assist in the processing of emotional physical traumas.

04.

— We Train & Educate

Through our Workforce Center, our survivors are provided resources and guidance towards the continuation of their education or career trajectories.

05.

— We Mentor

Consistent mentorship is a key component of our programming and each survivor is assigned a Sponsor to monitor and encourage progress.

A Magical Story Time Experience - For Bahamas' Children

Dream North & Friends will be producing an August 2022 event for up to 300 foster children inhabiting 9 children’s homes in Nassau, Bahamas. The highlight will present 3 outstanding 12th grade students who will be the scholarship recipients of our “Story Time Book Contest”.

story time sessions

Dream North Foundation maintains consistent engagement with the foster and at-risk youth we interact with at our Story Time Events by hosting virtual and live Story Time Sessions with our local foster agency partners – specifically geared towards Los Angeles and Las Vegas.

During our 1-2 hour sessions, which occur once a month, 7 times a year, we have a more intimate look at diverse pieces of literature while learning how to implement creative thinking and writing. These sessions further promote our literary efficacy initiatives, allow a platform where we can offer follow up mentoring, and it strengthens our relationships with our local foster agency partners.

Our Story Time events are not a one-time experience for our foster youth participants and we want them to know that Dreaming, Believing, & Achieving are a year-round aspiration that we can accomplish, together!
